Actually, the reason why I didn't is I couldn't figure out an easy way to connect to Sunnyside that didn't involve a jackhammer.

What's so nice about my little plan is that it's so simple. So doable.

To get to Sunnyside, coulnd't you zigzag over to 39th Ave and cross on Honneywell? It is longer, but it's also a lot more pleasant.

Or could you cross all the traffic and than take Thomson St? It looks possible on my map, but it may not be possible in reality.

The design is suitable for bikers heading up to Astoria. However, it falls short for those that need to continue east to meet with the Queens Blvd bike path over Sunnyside Yards.
That extra 3 blocks is a nasty tangle going the wrong way.

Hey Astoria Bike, I'm sure you get emails like this all the time. I just moved to astoria (close to astoria park) and wanted to get back into biking. I haven't biked since the early 90's when i was in high school so I'm quite outdated. Do you have any tips for buying a bike fit for nyc?
